The building displays an intriguing style of Islamic, Hindu and British architecture, its flamboyant Indo – Saracenic style was designed by George Wittet. The museum has an excellent and vast collection of rare and ancient exhibits of Indian history with impressive Hindu and Buddhist sculpture, terracotta figurines from the Indus Valley, miniature paintings, porcelain and some particularly vicious weaponry.

From 1559 onwards the palace was constructed by 76 generations of Sisodia Rajputs or Suryavanshi Rajputs (worshippers of Sun god) and represents the architectural blend that is an amalgamation of Rajasthani, Mughal, Medieval, European and Chinese Architecture that you will observe here during your Golden Triangle Group Tour.

This magnificent architecture is elaborately decorated with images from Indian mythology.
